The Watson Museum is one of the largest and oldest museums in Gujarat, located in the Jubilee Garden area of Rajkot . Established in 1888, the museum is named after Colonel John Watson, who served as a British political agent at the Kathiawar region from 1881 to 1889.
The museum houses a vast collection of artifacts related to the history and culture of Gujarat, including:
- Precious objects from the princely State of Rajkot founded by the Jadeja Rajputs
- Copies of artifacts from Mohenjodaro, one of the Indus Valley Civilization sites
