An Ancient Cave Abode
High atop the Shevaroy Hills in Yercaud sits the Servaroyan Temple, a unique cave temple dedicated to Lord Servaroyan, the local guardian deity, and Goddess Kaveri, the revered goddess of the Cauvery River. Perched at 5326 feet, it's the highest point in Yercaud, offering stunning panoramic views in addition to its spiritual significance.
Ensconced in History
Locals believe the temple to be over 2,000 years old. Legends say the cave passages stretch all the way to the Kaveri River, some 480 km away in Karnataka! The temple itself is a narrow cave adorned with the idols of Lord Servaroyan and Goddess Kaveri. There's also an ancient well near the temple, adding to its mystique.

Wishful Thinking
