Minyan Ohr Chadash, also known as the UDistrict Minyan - Ohel Yoseph Yitzchak, is an Orthodox synagogue located in the University District of Seattle, Washington. It serves a diverse local community and welcomes visitors from all over the world.
The synagogue provides a welcoming home for prayer, learning, and spiritual growth. It offers daily classes, most of which are held on Zoom, and has a Jewish library with hundreds of books.
Prayer services follow Orthodox traditions according to Nusach Ari Z"L, with prayer books and instructions available in Hebrew, Hebrew/English, and Hebrew/Russian. On Saturday mornings, there is a Shacharis service followed by a Kiddush meal. The synagogue also holds holiday services.
Minyan Ohr Chadash is located at 4525 19th Ave NE, Seattle. Limited parking is available behind the building. The synagogue is close to several hotels, including University Inn, Graduate Hotel, Residence Inn Seattle University District, Watertown Hotel, and the Silver Cloud University District.
The UDistrict Minyan does not charge for any services or community activities, but donations are welcome.
