Mara Triangle is the western section of the Maasai Mara ecosystem, bounded by the Mara River, the Oloololo Escarpment and the international border with Tanzania. Managed by the Mara Conservancy, it supports wildlife viewing across grassland, riverine and escarpment landscapes and can be reached through designated gates and authorized safari arrangements.
Visitors to Mara Triangle must follow conservancy rules designed to protect wildlife and prevent vehicle crowding. Drivers should remain on permitted routes, keep the required distance from animals and obey ranger instructions; feeding, calling or blocking wildlife is unacceptable. Entry fees, gates and road conditions should be confirmed before travel. A qualified guide, sufficient water and realistic driving times are important, especially during rain or periods of intense migration-season traffic.
