The ISKCON Temple, also known as the Sri Sri Radha Govindananda Temple, is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Krishna and his consort Radha, located in the Ambikapatty area of Silchar, Assam, India. It is considered one of the most important and well-built temples in Silchar.

Silchar is well-connected by air, road, and rail. The Silchar Airport (SLR) is located about 23 kilometers from the city center. You can take a taxi or rickshaw from the airport to the temple. The Silchar Railway Junction is located in the heart of the city. You can take an auto-rickshaw or taxi from the station to the temple.
About the Temple
The ISKCON Temple is nearly 50 feet tall, making it a prominent landmark in the area. The temple complex houses the main shrine of Radha Govindananda, along with other deities like Gaura Nitai and Srila Prabhupada. The temple complex also has a goshala (cow shelter) and a gurukul (educational institution).
Festivals
The temple comes alive during festivals like Janmashtami, the birthday of Lord Krishna, and Durga Puja. Thousands of devotees throng the temple during these festivals to participate in the aarti (worship ceremony) and partake in the prasadam (blessed food) distribution.
