The Gita Temple, also known as Birla Mandir, is a beautiful Hindu temple located on the banks of the Triveni Sangam, the confluence of the Hiran, Kapila and Saraswati rivers, in the holy town of Somnath, Gujarat, India.
Built in the 1970s by the Birla Group, the temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna. As per mythology, Gita Mandir is situated at the very spot where Lord Krishna took rest after his walk from Bhalka Theerth to Triveni Theerth, before his journey to Neej Dham at Dehotsarg.
The temple's current white marble structure is a sight to behold. The most striking feature of the temple are the 18 white marble pillars, with inscriptions of the text from the Bhagavad Gita.
