Chaglagam is a village and the headquarters of an eponymous circle in the Anjaw district in the north-eastern state of Arunachal Pradesh, India. It is situated on the banks of the Delei River, bordering the Zayul County of China's Tibet Autonomous Region.
Known for being one of the interior most progressive circles in Anjaw, Chaglagam is also famous for its high yield of large cardamom, a shade-loving spice that thrives in the area's abundant shade. The village itself sits at an altitude of 1258 meters above sea level, offering stunning views of the surrounding mountains.
Getting to Chaglagam requires a bit of an adventure, as it is located on the 2,000-kilometer-long proposed Mago-Thingbu to Vijaynagar Arunachal Pradesh Frontier Highway along the McMahon Line. While the road is not yet complete, the journey offers breathtaking scenery of the Himalayas.
