Art & Garden by Fuan Wong is a hillside sculpture garden near Teluk Bahang in Penang, created by glass artist and plant collector Fuan Wong. Developed within a family durian orchard, it brings art and horticulture together rather than separating them into formal galleries. Glass forms, sculptures by other artists and an eclectic plant collection are woven through a lush tropical setting.
The pleasure of the visit comes from moving slowly along the garden paths and noticing how reflective glass, foliage, flowers and changing light interact. Bromeliads, ferns, cycads, succulents and other collected plants form the living backdrop. Uneven and sloping outdoor surfaces are part of the experience, and heat, rain and insects should be expected in the tropical environment. Wear secure shoes, use sun and insect protection and allow enough time for an unhurried walk. The garden lies outside central George Town, so plan return transport in advance.
